For a few people frugal living might be a neccessity as a way to be able to balance the books so as to scrape through each month. For others it’s a lifestyle choice, choosing to mitigate their environmental impact,  eat up less of the earth’s dwindling resources , and live life in a way that places a smaller emphasis on building wealth and possessions . However, most of us would not feel that we belong in either of these groups . So are frugal living sites or frugal living blogs relevant for the average person?

For myself, I think that they are relevant and also that they’re a lamentably underused online resource which virtually each and every person could benefit from. I think that perhaps the term itself puts people off using this type of site . These words ‘frugal living’ might appeal to an extremely small minority of tree huggers and people who are very hard up , but for many people it just brings up a picture of going without things, Eand living a very limited and dull kind of life . This kind of picture is not going to draw us in to visit these weblogs and sites .

I would like to see things another way – who would not like to save cash? Who doesn’t want to get discounted offers? Who would not want to pay out less money on the boring things such as household bills and therefore have more to spend on the more pleasurable purchases that you actually enjoy? I would be happy to bet that most of us would like these savings if you think about it.

Just because you visit a blog belonging to someone that is choosing to live on a shoestring and have no luxuries,  doesn’t mean that you are choosing to do something similar as well. The thing that you can do is to pick up a few really great tips and a bit of advice which you can use in your own life to acheive the benefits mentioned above. Often you can get really easy and quick to use tips from these blogs , and even if you were to pick out 1 or 2 you can save Ea very nice amount of cash . The links at the top of this post will lead you to pages that include lists of some of the best places to use for this type of advice, and many of them are honestly very good .

So stop complaining about being short of cash and actually fix the situation by taking a look at the above lists or going to my own frugal living blog that I have named The Frugalist.
